Seagullers on the trail

The sunny climate of Calabar was painted “a rainbow” on the 3rd of December 2010, when the 3rd dry run Carnival Calabar train hit the streets of the town, in the magnificent colours of red, blue, orange and yellow and green! The dry run which is usually a test run of the 12- kilometre Carnival Route, converged revellers under the five competing bands being Seagulls, Master Blaster, Bayside, Freedom and the Passion 4;a.ka. the P4! The run which was lead by her Excellency, Mrs Obioma Liyel Imoke, accompanied by the Carnival Calabar Queen Queen 2009, Miss Mayen Ekpo, saw revellers dressed in creatively branded band T-shirts ,with corresponding dress items such as pants, leggings, bump shots, and hose! The Hairstyles were gorgeously colorful, but the dexterity in choreography was simple breath gasping! Spectators at the event were held spellbound and this certainly was a tip of the iceberg, of what’s in stock on the 26th and the 27th of December, the dates for the Children and the main Carnival Calabar 2010!
